We are blessed to be using this thorough curriculum that produces excellent results and most importantly, teaches and reinforces God's Word and character in the lives of our precious children.

I love using ACE and ACC - Southlands because I enjoy accessing a school that provides moral and teacher support whilst I teach my children a complete curriculum which reinforces Bible values. The Christian focus and connections are world class. I have also started completing my year twelve certificate at my own pace for the first time!

I love the freedom to have children at home and watch them learn; be involved in the learning process; to mould and guide their character all day every day. It is Christ centred; We also love the activity days and have been to every single one.

Distance education with Southlands using the ACE program was perfect for our family. The excellent materials enabled both our boys to excel both academically and complete their schooling several years ahead of others their age.

Trusting God For many years I knew that home schooling was the best option for my eldest son who has a mild to severe hearing loss. I knew it would suit my life style but I was terrified to try. What if I failed? To make matters worse I was not good at spelling. My eldest son was in year three when my second son was diagnosed with a mild hearing loss. It felt as if God was shouting at me.
I had been in turmoil for three years and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I phoned the Principal Stuart Chapman and asked him to convince me that I could do distance education. He said "You will never know unless you try!"
I enrolled both boys at ACC Southlands for the start of the 2009 school year. What peace came over me once I had taken that initial step. The first two weeks were rough but since then the business of rushing has gone out of our home. There is a peace and contentment. My faith in the Lord has soared through this one act of obedience. I trusted Him and He knew what was best for my family and me.
How wonderful God is. I thank ACC Southlands for this wonderful opportunity they have afforded me to give my boys the very best. God bless you.

I was hesitant to start because I left school at 14 and knew that I was going to have difficulty in helping my daughter with some of the academic work. But now, 4 months later, I am so grateful that the teachers at the school have been so helpful and positive that I can see that my daughter is learning faster than ever before.
Also at the previous school, she rarely smiled because of the stress she was under and she was struggling socially. However, even after such a short period of time she is now happy and is making friends easily.

Distance education with ACC Southlands, has provided opportunities for our son, to work towards a successful completion of his final years of schooling, which previously, was in doubt. Struggling within the traditional school system, with his own particular needs; frustration and unhappiness grew, as his own sense of purpose and direction diminished.
Southlands, has not only opened an opportunity for our son in succeeding, both in his personal daily goals, but also within the plethora of subject choices, which were previously not available to him. Christian, biblically based curriculum, offers a new direction and focus on life and learning, with a God perspective. This has produced enormous benefits for our son and family in general.
There has been a replacement of frustration and unhappiness, with a sense of visible achievement. New goals were set and a determination towards achieving and realising them brought the program and curriculum to life. I would like to encourage parents who are looking for an alternative to the traditional education system, to make enquiries, and to prayerfully consider the option and the benefits of distance education through the Australian Christian College- Southlands.
Distance education is not for everyone! (I for one vowed I could and would, never do it, from a selfish point of view.)
However I have been actively involved now for over one year, in the role of scribe, and personal assistant. It is, a more personally committed approach, to the responsibility of educating your child. but the benefits and ongoing blessings for them, their education, personal development, and in fact, the family as a whole, is, immeasurably worth the effort."

I am so grateful for the pastoral support I have received from ACC Southlands while I have been undergoing a custody battle.

I love the way distance education has brought our family closer together. It's allowed us to really get to know each other and shown us that no matter what happens, our family is there for each other.

As a shift working mother our affiliation with the College has enabled us to maintain educating our children from home. I felt I needed the necessary 'structure' so beautifully presented in the PACES to help keep us on track. Setting goals is a part of our family life and this programme is being realistically achieved with our current lifestyle.
The boys love to attend the Activity Days, which are so well organised. The WA office provides an essential link for parents and students alike.

Thank you to everyone for the effort put into organising a wonderful day last Tuesday (17th).This was our first Activity day, parents and children alike thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and we are looking forward to the next one!
Once again a great big thank you from the Hendriks family.
When my children were at school we had to travel half and hour to and from school. With one child who was struggling at school and often not wanting to go it was stressful.
After school they had homework, speech and music with barely time for anything else. I had desired to do homeschooling but never thought it possible being a single parent without formal training until I heard about Australian Christian College - Southlands. We started in second term 2009 and though it has taken time to settle into, I have already seen dramatic changes in my children.
They are happier and more relaxed. They both enjoy doing PACES and when completed you can see their sense of achievement. As a family we now have time for activities and quality time together. I believe if God puts the desire in your heart to do distance education, He will make it happen for you! It has happen for us and we love it!

I've just had a wonderful afternoon with your parent mentor Janine Wood - she was such an encouragement and wealth of knowledge! What an awesome idea having her on staff as a resource to the parents. Awesome, thanks very much. Many, many thanks and warm regards God Bless.

We have been doing distance education with ACC since the beginning of 2009. It has been very different from traditional school life and can still get quite hectic at times. We have really enjoyed the Biblical content of the paces, the PACE Scriptures and the monthly Scripture memory passage. In last month's passage we found "three bees": be self-controlled, be patient and be kind.
We have asked God to help us put these Scriptures into practice. This year has been a challenging one, but also a very rewarding experience. We look forward to next year.

We began distance education in August 2009 and live in Cue. We were encouraged us to use Vcampus as we are so remote. This website is awesome and I would recommend it to everyone, especially if you live in a town. My three children and I all use Vcampus.
The things we use Vcampus for are mostly the learning objectives and chat times. The children have put pins on a map of Australia to mark where each family is that we have spoken with. We have also made friends through Vcampus.
By having Vcampus available to us we certainly don't feel as if we are so remote. I also like the idea that what ever messaging or chats the children do is emailed to the parent. Well done Australian Christian College - Southlands.

Attending Student Convention as a parent for the first time, I was unsure of what to expect. I was very impressed with the calibre of work that the students produced, and the behaviour and respect that the students showed to all the adults.
Roy Savage was an inspiring speaker who really challenged the students on their walk with God. I was also really proud as parent on the final night, to watch my daughter receive ribbons as a reward for the effort put into her work.
I would really encourage any students who have the opportunity to try and attend next year.

I thought convention was great this year. I made lots of new friends and I really enjoyed myself. I am looking forward to going next year.

What can I say - but. WOW, WOW, WOW! We have just returned from one of the most memorable school camps ever, with Australian Christian College - Southlands What a blessing and a privilege it was to be able to take our entire family on a school camp, and to have us all enjoy and participate in the school camp culture.
We enjoyed getting to know other families who are also enrolled through distant education and felt this was a very significant time for us both emotionally, spiritually and of course physically.
Everyone just seemed so happy and relaxed. It was also amazing to see every person pitch in and lend a helping hand when needed. We felt this was a very low stress camp and more about fun challenges, family and friendship. Our oldest daughter in particular enjoyed the friendships she made which were developed and fostered through trust activities and just the essence of being and doing the best you can. She did everything from archery, wall climbing, aerial flyaway to tunnels, and many, many more confidence and trust building exercises.
Even our little children thoroughly enjoyed watching and participating in the activities that they felt comfortable with. Our family would especially like to thank the all the teachers who gave and gave, if they were not attending to a child or adult (or in some cases a baby), they were in the kitchen or facilitating an activity or even participating and enjoying the activities.
So thank you ACC Southlands and we look forward to the next school camp - bring it on.
